Recommended Reading

Clients frequently ask me, "how do I learn more about this or that [topic]?" So I have created a list of what I would call recommended reading and resources on various subjects as individuals endeavor on their journey of self-discovery and expanded consciousness.

Unlike 30 years ago, there are now vast amounts of information on spiritual topics available. From books and blogs to YouTube channels and Facebook groups. The below suggestions are offered as a simple starting point, and from there, the possibilities are limitless.


As with everything that enters your life, as you find your way through the volumes of material and all that is written, use your discernment. Many topics are written about from different perspectives and different levels vibration (the journey from polarization back into unity). There will be inconsistencies and these inconsistencies should be expected. My advice is to feel the information in your heart. To "woo woo" for you? Listen to your gut, your instincts. If what you see or read does not resonate with you, leave it behind. It is not right for you at this time. If it triggers you (elicits a strong emotional response), take a journey within to understand why. If it pulls at you, feel it, question it, consider it, perhaps even pursue it. If it resonates in your heart, then follow your heart, as it is your heart that is to guide you into your new future.


What is Spirit and Do We Have Consciousness Beyond our 3D Ego Mind

Is there "life after death?" This is a question that sits in the back of many people's minds. Building a framework around this concept is a different experience for everyone and is heavily influenced by beliefs, social structure and personal experiences. The more rigid one adheres to their belief system the less likely they are to question their reality and the potential possibilities. When one opens to considering the possibilities, doors begin to open and experiences unfold before you.

  • The Convoluted Universe series by Dolores Cannon Volumes 1 through 4. Dolores has written about 20 books relating to various topics of this nature. The Convoluted Universe series is a great place to start.

  • Edgar Cayce, also known as the "sleeping prophet" was a twentieth century psychic and medical clairvoyant. He lived from 1877 to 1945 during which time he provided thousands of "readings" on over 10,000 topics while in an unconscious state diagnosing illnesses, revealing past lives and prophecies to come. Each of these sessions were meticulously transcribed and archived. These transcribed sessions now serve as the basis for numerous books that have been published by his non-profit research institute, the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.)

  • Dr. Norma Milanovich and Dr. Shirley McCune. The Light Shall Set You Free. Scottsdale, Az: Athena Publishing, 1996. This book is a great book to begin with as it covers basic metaphysical concepts, the Universal Laws that dictate the flow of energy, and the journey of personal transformation that is required to shift into 5D.

  • Jamie Butler, the Everyday Medium. Jamie is lovely woman, born as a medium, who has unintentionally become a body, mind & spirit wellness advisor working internationally for 30 years. She is also a media-personality on The Lighter Side Network and founder of the Love and Light Center in Atlanta, GA. Her life goal is to "teach people of all ages about the infinite possibilities for healing, joy and success available to us when wholeness living is incorporated into our daily lives." In addition, she has many affordable classes on a wide range of topics available on Learn it Live. If you like Channelling Erik, she was the medium on many of the first videos. Mind / Body Connection ~ The Physical Manifestation of Emotions

Through all my years of work what I have found with the mind/body connection and the physical manifestation of emotions is that each person has their own unique experience and there are always exceptions. So while these references offer general guidelines, as with everything, evaluate the information provided and discern to what extent it applies to your situation. This will require blunt honesty with yourself, as any denial will only result in delay to resolution.

Connecting to the Akashic Records & Channeling

The Akashic Records are a dimension of consciousness that contain a vibrational record (memory) of every soul and its journey. These records are an experiential body of knowledge that contain the memories of all the lives of every soul, past, present and future. These records can ultimately be accessed on an individual, planetary, galactic and universal level. For beginners, it is a great way to learn more about yourself and a tool to use during meditation.

Many people at this point in time are beginning to realize that "spirit" is part of our daily life. They are beginning to strengthen their connection to their Higherselves and are consciously aware of their guides. While this is a very exciting time in the journey, discernment and the setting of boundaries is of the greatest importance. There are many conscious energies that are enlightening to engage with, and some in the lower dimensions that are less so. Learn to set your boundaries and understand the medium (no pun intended) in which you are working. Keep in mind, the higher the frequency you are connecting with the less polarized the consciousness and the further along in the journey to unity.

Understanding the Lightbody Template and Ascension Mechanics (how to access higher levels of consciousness with integrity)

I'm going to be honest, it's not as difficult as one would think once you understand it, but you are required to do a lot of work on yourself. This journey is about mental and emotional healing as well as the intentional expansion of your consciousness beyond your current belief system. The more open and honest you are, the easier and quicker it is, but as they say, "you don't know, what you don't know." Here is a good place to start:

  • Bailey, Alice A. Initiation, Human and Solar. NY, NY: Lucis Publishing Company 1922.

  • Stone, Joshua David. The Complete Ascension Manual: How to Achieve Ascension in This Lifetime. Flagstaff, AZ: Light Technology Publishing LLC 1994. (I wouldn't take this title literally....it will take more than reading one book).

  • Stone, Joshua David. Soul Psychology: Keys to Ascension. Flagstaff, AZ: Light Technology Publishing 1994.

  • Pixie, Magenta. Masters of the Matrix: Becoming the Architect of Your Reality and Activating the Original Human Template. White Spirit Publishing 2016.

  • Schucman, Helen and Thetford, William. A Course in Miracles. Combined Volume, Third Edition 2007. Foundation for Inner Peace first printed in 1976. A collection of teachings for the Western mind to learn the perspective of the compassionate observer.

I'm going to be honest, I'm a big fan of A Course in Miracles, but I struggled to get through all 365 days of the teachings. If you are interested in the material, but working with the manual is unruly, Tina Louise Spalding, who channels Ananda (an aspect of Jesus' higherself), goes through each of the 365 lessons, one a day (each less than 10 minutes), with a channeled message from Jesus/Ananda. For Those of You Who are Interested in Galactic History

As humanity begins to understand that we have incarnated through the densities of consciousness and that who we are is more than our lifetimes on Earth, it's helpful to have a broader frame of reference. There is not much written about this aspect of our history. Much of it has only recently been talked about or published. Below is a list of a few authors who provide insights into our Galactic Heritage. Each author provides a different perspective. There are times when you will find inconsistencies. As with everything that enters your life, ask for clarification, feel it in your heart. If what you see or read does not resonate with you, leave it behind or come back to it at another time. You will, over time, come to your own understanding as it relates to your own personal journey.
